Warm season crops
- Warm season crops were planted Warm season crops were planted this week (Finally!). The forecast looks good for the next 7 nights, so we planted peppers and tomatoes from the greenhouse. We hardened them off for three days on the north side of our building before planting.
- In case there is a freeze, for some of our viewers in low-lying areas, we showed how to protect tender plants with milk cartons, hot caps, and plastic shaded mini greenhouses with removable tops.
Tip of the week:
Harden off greenhouse grown plants for several days before you plant them out in the garden. This will lessen the transplant shock and help your plant get a jump-start for new growth.
